Jennifer LynnJennifer Lynn is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she earned both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Violin Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Lyndon J. Taylor. During this time, she also studied with world-renowned violinist Midori Goto in both private and chamber music settings, and was inducted into the music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda. Jennifer received a Graduate Certificate in baroque violin with Elizabeth Blumenstock. Ms. Lynn has won numerous competitions, including the Grand Prize in the highly competitive Musical Merit Competition of Greater San Diego and First Place in the ASTA Competition State Finals on viola. She attended the Chautauqua Institute with a full scholarship for three years, ultimately acting as concertmaster of the Music School Festival Orchestra. She traveled to Canada to study at the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute and was subsequently chosen to participate in their joint program with the Jeune Orchestre Atlantique in France. An eclectic musician, Jennifer performs in a variety of styles including classical, baroque, country, pop/rock and metal. As an electric violinist, she toured through Australia with the band Metaphor and in addition, performed under the baton of Led Zeppelin's Jon Paul Jones and with the Foo Fighters at the Grammy Awards. She has also performed with the band Rock Star Supernova, which included drummer Tommy Lee, as part of their tour, Battleground Earth. Apart from performing, Jennifer is dedicated to teaching her students in a variety of methods and styles, thereby preparing them for a professional career in music. |
