Spring 2010 Concert Series
We
are pleased to announce our first concert series programming at
Coast Music Conservatory. This spring, we'll be presenting fun,
educational and family-friendly concerts in our Coast Music Conservatory
Recital Hall. These programs are open to the public and combine
interactive learning with outstanding performances by Coast Music
Conservatory faculty. There is no required cover charge for performances,
and donations are greatly appreciated. Please join us!

Bernard
Bayer Presents:
Scarlatti,
Brahms, LIzst and Debussy
Classical piano virtuoso, Bernard Bayer, will kick off the very
first concert this season with pieces from the Baroque, Romantic
and Impressionistic eras of Classical music. The exciting program
selections will include a demanding range of repertoire from the
lyric to the technical. In addition, Bernard will elaborate on each
piece by discussing their various idiosyncrasies as well as sharing
personal anecdotes from the lives of the composers. This is a great
opportunity to hear unique and beautiful pieces that are not often
performed! There will be a brief Q and A session following the recital.

Beth
& Matt Rohde Present:
Discovering
the Magic of Phrasing
Beth Rohde has performed as a solo artist and session singer for
twenty years. She has sung with many legendary artists including
Les Brown, and she performed and toured with The Band of Renown
for nine years. She is the winner of many scholarships and competitions
including the Ella Fitzgerald Foundation Scholarship and the Lady
Be Good Gershwin Talent Contest. Beth is a master musician with
a great gift for phrasing and teaching singers how to unlock this
creative magic. Beth will be accompanied by her husband Matt, who
is the current associate music director for American Idol and one
of LA’Äôs first-call pianists and musical directors.
No singer or pianist should miss this inspiring concert presentation.

Reeman Presents:
Demistifying
Improvisation
Randy Reeman is an extremely rare musician who can create masterpieces
instantaneously. Whether he is improvising on Beethoven, Beatles,
or on the daily headlines, Randy holds the key to unlocking his
inner creativity and inspires others to do the same. Randy is a
true piano and vocal virtuoso who has performed with a great variety
of artists from Lawrence Welk to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Randy will be sharing his techniques in a concert that will be sure
to entertain like none other.

Coast Music Conservatory Spring Student Recital

All Coast Music Conservatory
private lesson students are eligible to participate in this Spring
Recital event. The recital fee is $20 for piano students and $40
for voice students. The vocal fee includes accompaniment. There
will be 5 recital groups: 1pm (ages 5-8), 2pm (ages 9-10), 3pm (ages
11-12), 4:30pm (ages 13-14), 6pm (ages 15-adult). We look forward
